​KOKKO QUARTET & ILKKA AROLA – Ornamented

The Helsinki-based Kokko Quartet seasons their brand of Scandinavian jazz with flavours from Indian, Arabic and Cuban music traditions. In their latest project “Ornamented” the band joins forces with trumpet player Ilkka Arola. Arola’s special Quartertone trumpet and flugelhorn allow him to play Arabic maqams and other microtonal music.
